Taiwan introduced the world to the craze for feline cafés. Japan loved the idea so much that they started cafés for you to meet goats or rabbits. Atlanta isn’t quite ready for a goat or rabbit café, but we are happy to jump on board with the cat café trend. Ready to adopt? Or maybe not ready or able to make the commitment of adopting? Either way you can enjoy these cat cafés in the greater Atlanta area.

Java Cats Café – Java Cats Café happily takes reservations at one of their two locations in Marietta or Atlanta. Your reservation includes a complimentary coffee or tea for each member of the party and unlimited purrs from the feline residents. This café focuses on connecting customers to their perfect cats while offering homeless locals a chance to work at the coffee shop.

And don’t worry- if you end up falling in love with a cat at Java Cats Café, all 20 of the cats are available for adoption through PAWS. This no-kill shelter has a mission to give all cats (and dogs) a chance for a better life! They take the time to treat all their animals physically and mentally.

Happy Tabby Cat Café – Located in downtown Atlanta’s “up-and-coming Old Fourth Ward” is the home to the Happy Tabby Cat Café! This coffee shop is known for serving all the customers coffee and cuddles. The café teamed up with the San Francisco Coffee Roasting Company to develop their own special blend of coffee. Pop in and enjoy a cup or take home a bag of beans to make at home along with a furry kid of your own.
