Live. Work. Play. — Spotlight On Midtown
Krista Robertson, Cook & James LLC
Midtown Atlanta has worked hard since the 1970s to make the area a thriving, cultural location for residents and visitors. After World War II, many residents left the city leaving behind vacant buildings and an unsavory reputation. Midtown Alliance began in 1978 and has worked countless hours in building and implementing their blueprint to turn the reputation around. Board members and staff are focused on improving safety and bringing life back into the area while preserving its unique personality.
Work
Midtown Alliance knew there were many key features they had to improve in order to become the home for thriving businesses. Being located between Downtown and Buckhead allows this part of the city easy access by I-75/85, Georgia 400, and MARTA. Midtown Alliance has been excited to have research institutions, such as Georgia Tech and Emory University, to bridge technology, health and the arts creating the perfect innovative hub. The local residents are known for being young and educated professionals.
Play
Midtown Atlanta is the South’s “heart of the arts” meaning there is an activity for everyone. Enjoy a day at Piedmont Park and explore the stunning Atlanta Botanical Garden. Enjoy the Alliance Theatre or Atlanta Symphony Orchestra as they take the stage. The Fox Theater allows you to get lost in over 300 different performances every year. Most recent to visit the Fox Theater was Hamilton. Even enjoy some of the more quirky attractions that we have to offer like the Center for Puppetry or the Goat Farm Arts Center.
Live
Midtown residents’ favorite part of living here is their ease of access to a wide variety of dining, shopping, arts, and attractions. This part of the city has much to offer potential residents and you have many options to find your perfect home whether it is a hi-rise condo, apartment, or house in one of the beautiful and historic neighborhoods. Historic neighborhoods include Ansley Park, Sherwood Forest, Home Park, and more.
